Trip Overview

Annapurna Royal Trek is a short, easy and inspirational trekking trail of the Annapurna Region. It derives its name after British Prince Charles walked through this trek with over ninety guests with the followers and staffs in 1980. Royal Trek is one of the oldest trekking routes not only in the Annapurna region but also in Nepal. This is the most ideal trek for those who want to explore rural life and breathtaking mountain views in a relatively short period of time. This trek provides the visitors with an opportunity to have a face-to-face interaction with a cultural tapestry of the people inhabiting this region.

Royal Trek is almost ideal for the ones who do not have much prior experience of trekking as the trekking is very mild and does not necessitate much physical fitness. It is also favourable for older people and children as the altitude you cover during the trek will just be around 2300 meters. The Royal Trek begins with a wonderful drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu. The best time for the trekking is during September and November and also during March and May. However, the trekking can be performed all round the year.
