Tamang Heritage Trail
A wonderful trek that’s ideal for the family, a group of close friends or for someone wishing to enjoy their honeymoon in a special way…This is an ideal outing in the gentle part of the wild as we hike through elevations not too high among some of the most attractive natural scenery within the borders of Nepal’s Himalayas as we get some deep insights along the way into some interesting & rich Tamang culture found on this route as we learn of this mountain tribe & their traditions & customs on these harsh mountains in which they live & survive for most of their lives.
The trek begins with visiting the Kathmandu valley, Kathmandu Darbar square, Swayambhunath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa & Pasupatinath Temple. Time is believed to have stood still for villages in this remote part of Nepal. People of the valley still believe in the simple way of living life. During the trek tourists are presented with several opportunities to be a part of the native’s lives. Untouched by modern civilisation the Tamang heritage trail follows into the core of the most remote yet prettiest places in Nepal. Because of being close to Tibet, the culture of the people in this part of Nepal bears striking resemblance to that followed by Tibetans.]
