Everest Three Pass Trek is the strenuous but rewarding trekking in Everest. The trekking route covers all major viewpoints in Everest including three passes of Kongma La, Renjo La and Cho La. Other popular viewpoints are Everest Base Camp, Gokyo Ri and Kalapattar.
The one of the highlights of Gokyo Renjo La Pass trek is ascent to the Gokyo Ri peak (5480m).We stay here to savor the incredible scenery, including breathtaking views of Everest (8848m), Makalu (8481m), Cho Oyu (8201m) and Lhotse (8516m), to name but a few. The Renjo la pass trail is off the usual beaten track. At the pass, a great view of the Gokyo Lake on one side, the Rermo Pokhari Lake on the other side and a myriad of snowy peaks in the background provide this incredible atmosphere. The alternative route is much easier. From Gokyo, the trail descends along the opposite bank of the Dudh Kosi River.
Trekking to Renjola Pass is a very popular visit among tourists. A little off the main trekking trail, Thamo and Thame offer untouched Sherpa culture where people have maintained the traditional way of life. You can experience the local culture through home stay accommodation. Cultural groups perform shows for tourists on request. In addition, you can explore the jungle near the settlement sheltering endangered wildlife species, like musk deer and pheasants. The mainstay of local economy here is tourism.
